My audience member would be classed as several tribes this includes aspirant, mainstream and ALT. The type of people which are included in these types of groups are hipsters, the new casual and trendies. The aspirant types of people know about keeping up with what’s cool but without all the hard work of creating it themselves and whether it’s the latest pop-up, food truck, concept store, art gallery or nightclub, they want to be the one to have seen it first. To follow this, aspirant tribes are strongly influenced by the newest fashion and music at that current time, particularly social media being a big part of the impressing and appeal of themselves. Also, Mainstream Tribes prefer to stick with what’s safe rather than rock the boat. There’s little desire to hunt down underground fashion and music. Townies are among the most resilient of Tribes, proud to be ‘normal’ in a world of change. They want to stay local and live for the weekend. This has an emphasis on my type of music in which ‘Banners’ creates upcoming and current music for people to listen to.
The specific type of aspirant tribe would be a styler and like the current trends and as a male artist this therefore relates to my artists style as casual, and he is presented as cool. However, currently urban fashion is the upcoming trend, and this alternatively could be what some urban tribes listen to. Most of the audience will predominately attract a mixed audience as the messages he portrays in his music are very emotive which female and male persons.
Considering these two types of people are part of the aspirant tribe they may listen to different types of music. For example, the vlogger would listen to upcoming artists like Dua lipa, Little Mix. These types of artists are who are very focused on female empowerment and very female focused which is why a vlogger would be associated with this type of genre. The new casual person, linking to his sense of style would listen to Post Malone which gives an impression that he is always up to date with the new coming of music, style and moves from different when there is a new one.
